Marisa initially went to the University of Hawaii to study sculpture and during her senior year, quit school to move to New York. Many friends and family thought she was crazy and thought NYC would be too fast for a small town girl. However, it was the best decision she ever made. While there, she met many artist and realized graphic design has to potential to marry sculptural concepts with 2-D renderings. She became inspired and moved back to Hawaii to finish her degree in graphic design. Art is art, no mater what media you choose to create with.
